The Process

How OakMD Works

Learn how OakMD's online telemedicine process works. Complete an intake, get provider review, receive a personalized treatment plan if eligible.

Step 1 — Choose Your Treatment Category

Browse OakMD's treatment categories and find the one that matches your health goals. Whether you're looking into testosterone therapy, weight loss, hair loss, or another area, each category has detailed educational pages to help you understand your options.

Step 2 — Complete Your Online Intake

Click the category-specific CTA (e.g., "Start TRT Evaluation" or "Check Weight Loss Eligibility") to begin your intake. You'll answer a brief questionnaire about your health history, current symptoms, and goals. This typically takes under 10 minutes and is completed entirely online.

Step 3 — Provider Review

A licensed medical provider reviews your intake within 24–48 hours. They evaluate your responses, medical history, and eligibility criteria for the treatment in question. You may be asked to submit lab work or additional information.

Step 4 — Receive Your Treatment Plan

If the provider determines that treatment is appropriate for your situation, you'll receive a personalized treatment plan. This may include a prescription, dosing guidelines, and follow-up instructions. Treatment is never issued automatically — it is always based on individual provider review.

Step 5 — Ongoing Support

OakMD patients have access to ongoing provider support for questions, follow-ups, and plan adjustments. Labs may be ordered periodically to monitor progress. Your care team is available via the portal to address concerns.
