Terms of Service
OakMD's terms of service govern your use of our telemedicine platform and services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OakMD's platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.
2. Nature of Services
OakMD is a telemedicine platform that facilitates connections between patients and licensed medical providers. OakMD is not itself a medical provider. Treatment decisions are made solely by licensed providers based on individual clinical evaluation.
3. Not an Emergency Service
OakMD is not an emergency medical service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. OakMD's services are not appropriate for urgent or emergency medical situations.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use OakMD. By using our platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
5. No Guarantee of Treatment
Completion of an intake form does not guarantee a prescription or treatment plan. All treatment decisions are made by licensed providers based on individual clinical review. Not all patients are candidates for all treatments.
6. Prescription Medications
Prescription medications issued through OakMD are for your personal medical use only. Misuse, diversion, or resale of prescription medications is prohibited and may be illegal.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, OakMD's liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you have paid to OakMD in the preceding 12 months.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable state and federal laws. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
9. Changes to Terms
OakMD reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
